Toddler Tool Time
This is such a great set. My daughter calls these her “fixers”. The tools are quality as you would expect from Melissa and Doug. The set is small and easy to move around. We used to have a huge Melissa and Doug work bench. This size is much more manageable!

Definitely a good purchase
Ordered this as a Christmas gift for my nephew only after the original ‘tool set’ of another kind came damaged and the plastic was already breaking. It was very embarrassing gifting a broken toy before he had even touched it. HOWEVER, once I found this one I wished I got it for him in the first place! So cute and sturdy. Everything is wood and looks very expensive. Not cheap plastic like most toys. He loves it and his favorite feature is the wood saw and velcrow blocks where he can saw in-between and it will “cut” through. Will do this for hours. Will definitely be ordering more like this in the future.

Not what I expected
As always this M&D toy is high quality and can be fun but itâs not as easy to use as I had hoped. The boards that you âcutâ are difficult to handle for my granddaughter. Nice bright colors and good size. The pounding nails are easier to get in than they are to get back out. Probably a 3.5 Stars

Great buy!
Love it. Bought it for Christmas because my 1yo loves to smash things! He loves it, still plays with it every day and no signs of wear and tear yet! It’s been 4 months of constant play, and my 3yo daughter loves connecting the bolts and boards together to create and build things.. my son tries to saw everything from the kitchen table, to all his toys… He gets his tools out when Daddy or grandpa are working on something and he says they are his tools! When he wants to help, we say go get your tools and he brings them all over and gets to work.. so cute! Great buy! Definitely recommend.

Fun toy
My daughter loves it. Her cousins (8yo) played with it though and easily broke the saw handle. We still use it though. It is otherwise sturdy

Engaging toy, poor quality
Product arrived with some knicks and scratches on it already. Within a day one of the tops to the screws came off with minimal effort – if your child is under 3 years old definitely make sure itâs supervised play. My 18 month old daughter loves learning the differences between each tool and itâs easy enough for her to navigate. Overall, nice product – but the quality is poor.

More wholes more fun
I saw this toy at the Brooklyn Museum for Children. One of the reason it caught my eye was the small size but with more wholes! I bought my little one the Green toys tool box and he loved it, but it doesn’t have to many wholes to place the nails and screws in. Not only does this work great with his original tool box but his hammer from green toys is finally functional. The nail removed actually works!! I just don’t understand why companies don’t make hammers that fully work with their parts. The toy is very sturdy and well made. Best part it works great with his original tool set.

Bought this for my 2 year old daughter. A pair of bolts broke off within a week. This toy would have been perfect had the bolts not broke. Melissa and Doug had been high quality toys all along and we have bought many times prior, this time is a let down in terms of build quality.

Update… Upon contacting the company itself they are sending my son a full replacementThis is what my sons came with. No tools. WTH do we do with this? I bought it unfortunately in October for Christmas so I guess I’m left with a learning toy that is unable to teach. 50 bucks down the toilet.

Within an hour of opening the package the top of the tool bench started to splinter. The wood is unfinished and has turned out to be a real safety hazard for my kids
