    Great product
These clamps work inside or outside. If you are like me I want everything clamped and glued in one setting. These clamps have done the job making my frames square and tight. I highly recommend them.

I didn’t know how much I needed theese
I build a lot of cabinets and have a number of corner clamps. These are great for getting and holding a 90 degree corner. I will be buying more of these. Once you get used to how they work, it gets easier to clamp up more quickly.

    These will do the job
These came well packaged in a non-descript cardboard box but protected by a foam cut-out. You get 8 each of the L-bolts, 6-star knobs and aluminum clamp pads and the 4 corner braces. The braces are made of a some aluminum alloy, anodized red and quite light. Out of the box pretty impressive. As usual I took out the calipers and did some quality checks and sizing. See the photos; the measurements are 1/128th to 1/64 outside the specifications but that could be the quality of my calipers or me not quite taking them right. The one to take notice is where I used a digital protractor, the corners are square to 90 degrees within the protractor’s accuracy, which is +/- 0.1 degrees. The other photos focus on size. These are simple tools so I am going to first focus on what I did not like about these. Accidentally, dropping one of the corner braces on my concrete floor exposed the aluminum under the anodization, so it is pretty thin. I appreciate getting the clamping capability provided. But, there is a restriction on the thickness of your stock limited to the length of the L-bolt minus the thickness of the clamp pad, it’s about 3/4″ thick. I calculated the clamping limit to be about 2 1/4″ to keep the star knob’s thread fully engaged. That’s quite sufficient for boxes, frames and door stile/rail corners. So basically it’s a minor restriction. The 1/4″ L-bolt slips into a +5/16″ hole in the brace. So, when you are trying to set these things, you’ve got parts flopping around while trying to steady the wood in position. Quite frankly, I will cannibalize the L-bolt and excellent star knob for other purposes and use a one-hand bar-clamp to do the clamping. Another pet peeve is all the parts; I like to hang things on the wall to be visible. I have a photo of (if I chose not to cannibalize the parts) how I would clamp them to hang on the wall; L-bolts loose in those holes would not work. Finally, at 5 1/2″ long, the legs do restrict how small a box you can clamp and square.I don’t own any other aluminum corner braces, so I do not have a baseline. I do own the rock’s version and they are larger and made of a hard plastic. These, as my photos indicate, are well sized and hefty enough for most corner clamping situations. On larger cabinets and the such, they’d serve as clamps, not as squareness indicators. These have a metric rule on one-face only; I don’t see that critical. The Amazon product listing says these have both Imperial and metric, so us Amazon Vine reviewers may be getting rejects. Regardless, they are well-machined (no sharp edges) and, functionally, will do the job.I do wish they could just eliminate the clamps to possibly cut the cost (or give me the option to not get the clamps), IMHO. All in all, my concerns might be trivial and they do what they say they can do, but there are too many little glitches, like the missing scales, 4 stars is warranted.

    All four squares were perfect.
I bought these to make some cabinets. As soon as they came in I checked all four of them with two trusted squares I have, they were near perfect. The “L” bolts were not exactly square but were close enough to use.

    Excellent woodworking tool.
These positioning squares are a must for achieving 90 degree corners in many woodworking situations. The four-set is a smart buy.

Nice to have, not easy to setup
Nice tool to have when you need it, but won’t use it often. You need multiple hands to install because the threaded clamps fall out of the angle bracket easily.

I was going to order another set, but the price went up so much that I changed my mind. Will probably order a different brand that is much cheaper.

Missing one of the knobs, though even if everything was included it still wouldn’t be a good product. Squares were inaccurate and the clamp gets really stuck when tightened because the L bolts weren’t designed for this application.
