    Smaller than stated dimensions
    If you need 18” X 12” don’t buy this. It’s actually 17.5” X 11.625”

Not what I was hoping for. Great if you laser them though

Easy to cut to shape and holds items firmly
I wasn’t sure how I would like the two-tone look of these things, but I have come to like it. As you cut through it to shape a place for your equipment (assuming this is how you plan to use it), the red shows through and looks nice. In the attached pictures, I show a case that is 5″ deep, then I added a 2″ piece, and then another 2″. A couple of hints. 1) Take your time cutting; it is easy to cut at an angle when you are seeking a 90-degree cut. 2) Use a blade that is long enough to cut the depth in one pass; this stuff cuts easily, and multiple cuts create uneven edges. 3) Cut on a hard surface using a straight edge to guide you, when possible. 4) This material conforms to edges nicely, so allow for the “squish-factor. That is, cut the outside dimensions long and the internal dimension (where you are fitting the object) short. This keeps everything nice and tight. 5) I glue each layer together with an X pattern and try to add more around where I intend to cut to avoid separation. Give the glue plenty of time to dry to avoid slippage while cutting. Good luck!

    Nice!
I am building a special tool box for some expensive jewelry making equipment. These are going to work well since I can layer them. Some of the items are mirror faced planishing hammers. I have always been afraid if some idiot saw them when I was not there they might try to drive a nail with them which would ruin them. This foam will protect them and being in a toolbox will keep them hidden. They will all be there in a row so they will be easy to get to also. The foam is easy to cut and this should keep my hammers and other tools safe.
